Hallstamp Pitch · Algonquin pilot Book a meeting
Hallstamp by CognaWorks Inc.

72 skills surfaced. 0 claimed for you.

An honest job-search platform that surfaces only the skills a person can defend, names the ones they cannot, and never invents the difference.

72
real skills surfaced from 20 published courses, each with a receipt

The status quo is a loss you are already absorbing

A bluff wins the interview and collapses in the room.

Most resume AI invents numbers to raise a match score. Recruiters reject the slop. The claim that wins the screen dies the moment a person has to defend it in the interview.

Career Services owns the placement number and the employer relationships behind it. Every collapse in the room spends the goodwill of the partners the department depends on. That cost is being paid now and measured by no one.

An inflated score is a rejection waiting to happen.

Why honesty is the only signal that survives

Honesty is a cost. Paying it is the signal.

A signal is credible only when it is expensive to fake. Competitors raise a score for free by inventing numbers, so the signal is worthless and recruiters discount it.

Hallstamp surfaces only what a person can back with a receipt, which is expensive, so the signal carries. The refusal to inflate is not a limitation of the product. It is the product.

We refuse to be graded on the number everyone else games.

The architecture, in one breath

A writer boxed between two layers it cannot talk past.

A deterministic match engine feeds a writer that can only reorder and reword true experience. A validator then rejects any fabricated claim or banned wording before anything is output.

The writer sits between two deterministic layers it cannot escape. It can restate what is already true. It cannot add a fact. No invention is a property of the structure, not a promise in a brochure.

  • Match engine. Deterministic. Feeds only skills that returned true against evidence.
  • Writer. Reorders and rewords real experience. Cannot invent.
  • Validator. Rejects any fabricated claim or banned wording after the fact.

It can reorder your real experience. It cannot invent it.

Not a slide. A reproducible test in the codebase.

One curriculum. 72 receipts. Zero claimed.

Each skill traces to the course that backs it, by course code.

Watch the score earn itself

The verified score starts at zero and rises only on what you can defend.

Before the student ratifies anything, the verified score is 0. Honesty is the default the deterministic layers hold, not a request made of the user.

The student confirms three skills they can defend: Active Directory, TCP/IP, and Ticketing. The score rises truthfully, and each of the three shows as present with its receipt attached. Nothing is invented in between.

A course makes you visible. Your confirmation makes the claim honest.

The limits, stated on purpose

What we cannot verify yet, and why that makes the college the missing piece.

Self-entered courses are structured, not verified. A student can type a code they never took. We say this first because a vendor optimizing for the sale would hide it, and volunteering it is the costly signal that the honesty thesis is not just marketing.

That exact limit is the reason for the ask. A registrar-issued transcript is what upgrades honest into verified honesty, and only the college holds that evidence stream. The college is not a customer we are extracting from. It is the co-author of the verified version.

Two more limits, said plainly. Coursework is one evidence stream; work and projects are others, and the same engine reads those too. And this is a pilot proposal, not a deployed product.

A transcript is what turns honest into verified. You hold it.

The questions a diligent buyer will ask

The honest answers, including the ones we cannot win cleanly.

Where a rebuttal has to concede, it concedes. A tidy answer to everything would be the slop this product rejects.

We are not asking you to believe us. We are asking you to measure us.

The one decision on the table

One program. One term. One comparable group. Then we read the numbers together.

Students enter their courseload, review the surfaced skills, ratify what they can defend, and receive an honest match against real local postings plus a receipt-backed tailored resume with its gaps named. Measure it together against a comparable group, with the metric and comparison group agreed before the pilot runs, so a failed pilot ends cleanly with data and no reputational exposure. The pilot is scoped to sit below procurement, IT review, and legal, because that is where good initiatives die. Reversible, bounded, and small, so the safe choice and the yes choice are the same choice.

Skills surfaced per student Interviews landed Placements vs a comparable group
Nothing is committed today but the meeting. No contract, no deployment, no student data moves. One cohort, one term, and if it does not move the numbers against the comparison group, it ends and you keep the evidence. The answer to no is only a lost meeting.

You already have the receipts. We just refuse to forge the ones you do not.

The transcript is yours. That makes this a conversation with you, not a product sold around you. Do not believe us. Measure us. One cohort, one term, and the numbers decide.

The zero is the point.
